Blackstone Saunas was established by the Black family in 2004 with health first and foremost in our minds. We established our business after much thought and consideration for what would be most helpful to our clientele and future customers. We studied a variety of products and found far infrared saunas the most effective tool for detoxifying the body from environmental pollutants and medicinal toxins, their effectiveness in relieving stress, and their unparalleled ability to help the body heal from illness and injury.

ETL CERTIFICATION
Blackstone Saunas is the only sauna company in North America to have ETL certification on all of our saunas and sauna kits. Our exclusive D.I.Y. kits and Custom Saunas were certified in Coquitlam, B.C by Intertek to meet and exceed all industry standards. We also had other companies’ products tested who received their certifications in China and found that 98% of their products failed to pass industry standards.

When large amounts of volatile organic materials are burned, the resulting precipitate from this burning are hydrocarbons, which are dangerous to the atmosphere. Carbon Fibre Infrared Saunas do not produce, nor burn carbon or any other volatile compound in the heating process. Carbon Fibre Infrared heaters use a carbon based filter through which gentle electric current passes to produce an infrared wave. There is no use of any volatile material nor is there any release of aldehydes, ketones, or hydrocarbons in the form of precipitates into the air.

My name is Alicia Goldney and I am a Registered Massage Therapist. I was trained at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, B.C. I began my practice 4 years ago and now work in Parksville where I treat a number of common conditions such as: Fibromyalgia and other Chronic Pain Syndromes; repetitive use injuries such as Tennis/Golf Elbow and Carpal Tunnel; postural dysfunction; and athletic injuries. The modalities that I typically use are Deep Tissue Massage, Myo fascial Release, and Swedish.
